The Rehab Intervention Service Enrichment (RISE) program provides a highly structured and safe environment that facilitates behavioral stabilization, positive relationship building, and new learning experiences so patients can be reunited with their families or moved to a less restrictive community setting. The program serves adolescent females ages eleven (11) to nineteen (19) that require a highly structured and therapy-rich environment. This includes individuals with a history of failed placements, presenting with chronic social, behavioral, and emotional impairments that have not been safely or effectively addressed in less restrictive levels of care and who do not currently meet admission criteria for acute services.
The RISE program maintains adequate staffing with rotating, awake staff available seven (7) days a week, twenty four (24) hours a day. The staffing ratio for the RISE level of care is one (1) MHT to every three (3) patients twenty four (24) hours a day. Nursing services are available to recipients twenty four (24) hours a day. Therapists are credentialed at the Master’s level and service a caseload of 8 patients.
Treatment includes a structured milieu, Behavioral Management Planning, and all other programmatic features of the residential programs. Additionally, patients in the RISE program receive a minimum of two sessions of therapy a week and two psychiatrist visits monthly.
The RISE program is facilitated in compliance with the Alabama Department of Human Resources Minimum Standards for Residential Child Care Facilities. This includes training on psychotropic medications and the mental health and behavioral diagnoses served within the programs. Additionally, the programs are certified by the Alabama Department of Mental Health and The Joint Commission/CMS.
